Why are the different types of wolves?

not really some may be stronger then others but there is no real different types

• The traditional werewolf that passes its trait onto other via a bite. Is uncontrollably morphed by the light of the full moon. Is a creature of passion and rage.
• Descendants of King Lycoan, the Lycanotropes who pass their trait on through inheritance. These are not necessarily ruled by rage but have some cognizant control over their conduct. They also have to ability to morph between forms by will rather than external forces.
• Those who morph via the effect of magical potions.
• Those who morph via the effect of a magical fur garment.
• Those who morph due to having their reflection viewed in a broken mirror.
• Those who morph due to having swam naked across Lake Balie in Arcadia.
