Your husband is in complete denial of his drinking problem yet he has refused to go even one day without drinking at least four beers a night and once a week drives home after drinking with friends?

I think your husband should get help as soon as possible. He shouldn't be drinking that much and driving drunk is even worse. Maybe you should sit and talk to him about how you are being affected by his behavior and he should seek help before something bad happens. He could have a few drinks and drive home and kill somebody and go to jail for life. Is that what wants? it's coming to that point. I say you should tell him to quit it and go to AA asap!
