Karl Lagerfeld is the chief designer. Gerard & Alain Wertheimer (brothers) are the current two co-owners. Their grandfather, Pierre Wertheimer was co-founder. The Wertheimer family partnered with Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel, thus leaving them her legacy.
