I'm not sure of the exact translation, but whatever it may be it is not a commonly used term in Louisiana. "Cochon de Lait" (pig in milk) refers to the type of roaster or suckling pig usually whole roasted over a fire or cooked in the ground. Hawaiians call it "Kalua pig".
