There is usually an onsite staff person who can assist with any emergencies that may occur.

Options for older adults who cannot live independently

Older adults who cannot live independently and cannot move in with family also have alternatives. Assisted living facilities may be the answer for these seniors if they have memory issues or health problems. Assisted living offers a level of independence with residents being able to participate in field trips and other outings. Those who are able to drive safely may be allowed to bring their cars to such facilities.
