Do scabies survive in high temperatures?

Scabies mites prefer cooler environments and typically do not survive well in high temperatures. They can die quickly when exposed to temperatures above 50°C (122°F). In general, scabies mites can live on human skin for several weeks but are unlikely to survive for more than a few days in the environment without a host. Therefore, high temperatures can effectively help eliminate scabies from infested items and surfaces.
