Moonlighting is defined as any professional activity arranged by an individual resident/fellow which is outside the course and scope of the approved training program. A resident/fellow may "moonlight" only with the written approval of his/her Program Director. While moonlighting, the resident/fellow must follow the GME Committee policy on moonlighting which requires that he/she have separate malpractice insurance.
