Where is the oil filter on a 2.4l Pontiac?

if it is a quad 4 2.4 ltr made up to 2000 it is located in the front of the engine. it is easily accessible from under the car. On some modles there is a little plastic plate that you can pop 2 tabs out of their holes to get better access to it. the newest version of the 2.4 ltr that is designated an Ecotec engine it is under a screw cap on the front of the engine just to the right of the intake manifold. you need a 1 inch or a 1 1/8 socket to remove the cap.
