1-remove mower deck. 2 disconnect elect. clutch 3 unbolt pulleys from crank shaft. 4 remove belt from idler pulley behind steering plate. 5 pull upper crank pulley down about one inch remove belt .6 install new belt reassemble pulleys
Not sure I'd recommend trying to lower the pulley. I ended up buying a pulley puller and still bent the pulley. And it didn't just break loose and come off - I had to use the pulley puller all the way down the crank shaft. Next time I am going to try undoing the engine bolts and sliding the engine back an inch or 2.
