How many mosqiutoes does a dragonfly eat each day?

Information on how much dragonflies eat per day is vague and somewhat varied, but overall, most sources agree that dragonflies eat a huge amount of insects per day. Some sources claim that it can eat 6 or 10 times its body weight per day, others say it can eat its body weight in a half an hour, 20% of its body weight just enough to keep it flying for an hour, or 30% of its body weight per day. Yet others say that dragonflies can eat around 600 insects per day.

Whatever the information, dragonflies certainly need to eat constantly to keep their energy reserves filled so they can keep flying and catch more insects, including mosquitoes, midges, flies and other insects.
