Who created Maflada?

Maflada was created by the Argentinian cartoonist Joaquin Salvador Lavado in 1962. He is better known by his pen name 'Quino'. Maflada is the name of a 6 year old girl in the comic strip. Even though the characters were created in 1962, it ran for the first time in the Primera Plana (weekly) on 29th September 1964.
