If you get bit by any snake, you should remain relaxed, lower the bitten area as much as you can, and seek medical help. If you have a venom extractor, you should use one of those, but you should never have somebody suck the venom out. This does not work, and can in fact lead to far worse problems in the future. You should also avoid using ice or putting pressure on or below the puncture site. If necessary and applicable, you may use a constricting band above (a point closer to the heart) the bite wound.
