Should mothers do part time work?

For the same reason fathers work: Lots of reasons, some good, some bad. These include personal satisfaction, intellectual stimulation, enjoyment of making money, providing for family, escaping from family, financial independence, to save for retirement, to pay for tuition, to earn health insurance and other benefits, etc.
