How do you check oil level in gearbox on Renault espace auto?

To check the oil level in the gearbox of a Renault Espace, first ensure the vehicle is on a level surface and the engine is off. Locate the gearbox dipstick or fill plug, usually found on the side of the gearbox. Remove the dipstick or plug and wipe it clean, then reinsert it without screwing it in to check the oil level. The oil should be at the correct level, indicated on the dipstick or just below the fill plug; if it's low, add the appropriate gearbox oil as specified in the owner's manual.
