Skipping meals is bad for your health because your body needs the nutritional elements available in food to produce energy throughout the day. If you skip a meal, your body must go that much longer without a boost of energy. It can also cause your blood sugar to plummet causing fatigue or grogginess. It is recommended that you have several smaller meals throughout the day to keep your energy up. Even while dieting, I would avoid skipping meals because you will most likely eat twice as much later on and settle for something that has a poor nutritional content opposed to finding something healthy to eat.
