How do you get people to mingle at partys?

- divide area into stations. buffet - bar - lounge. keep it tight so people cross each other alot or have to share a couch.

- introduce people with similar interests/work/hobbies. Give them a one-liner about each other that would probably get them to talk and leave them.

- if your playing games - make strangers play against each other.

- try to hook people up.

- at parties - always discuss other present people positively of course and drag them into your conversations.
