Did white people carry idi amin?

Idi Amin, the former dictator of Uganda, was not carried by white people. He came to power in a military coup in 1971 and was supported by various groups, including some segments of the Ugandan military and his own ethnic group, the Kakwa. Amin's regime was marked by widespread human rights abuses and violence, and while there were foreign interests involved in Uganda during his rule, particularly from Western countries during the Cold War, the phrase "carried by white people" is not an accurate representation of his rise to power.
