Why does my old integrated amplifier sound tired?

Could it be that the speakers are damaged? Generally, an amplifier will continue to do it's job until it ceases altogether to function electrically. If the speakers seem to function well with other equipment, or as well as with the 'tired amp', the problem may be your tired or damaged ears. Sigh! Maybe it's just time to spend some money on a shiny new toy.
