After the death of Anne Boleyn in 1536, Elizabeth I was initially placed in the care of her stepmother, Jane Seymour, but following Jane's death shortly after childbirth, Elizabeth was raised under the supervision of various governesses and servants. Additionally, Elizabeth spent time at the court of her half-brother, Edward VI, and later with her half-sister, Mary I, during their respective reigns.
