Yes, it can. While antibiotics kill the harmful bacteria, they also destroy the "good" bacteria that our bodies need to function properly. To help prevent yeast infections (and diarrhea) that antibiotics can cause, eat a cup of cultured yogurt or buttermilk each day that you are on the antibiotics. The cultures in the yogurt and buttermilk will help keep the good bacteria in the body.
But, depending on what type of antibiotic you are taking, you need to first make sure it can be taken with dairy products. There are a couple of them that can't be taken with dairy, but amoxicillin is not one of them; you can have dairy products with that one.
