Where do you find carnivine on Pokemon Rangers?

To get carnivine, go north from the aqua resort and take the left path heading to canal ruins. Then use suicune, go on the river, and go to the path on the top side of the river. Then just go through and and carnivine will pop out at you from the right and try to hurt you :|
