Are tire 205 70R14 and 265 50R14 cross compatible?

205/70-14 tire diameter is 24.4 265/50-14 tire diameter is 25.3 This will cause you speedometer to be off. 275/50-14 would be 24.8 which is a better choice. Either of these large width tires may not fit as they may rub the wheel well when you make a sharp turn. They may also be too wide for the stock wheel. If it were my car I would go with a 215/60-14 which has a diameter of 24.2 which will be almost perfect.
