What are the components of semen?

Semen primarily consists of sperm cells and seminal fluid. The seminal fluid is made up of secretions from various glands, including the seminal vesicles (which provide fructose and prostaglandins), the prostate gland (which adds enzymes and citric acid), and the bulbourethral glands (which secrete mucus for lubrication). Together, these components nourish and transport sperm during ejaculation.
