What is a description of a goldfish?

A large growing fish belonging to the Carp family. Colour can vary from solid orange, yellow, white or black to multi colours, such as a white base with red and black blotches. The body is chunky and rounded with relatively large visible scales. Healthy Goldfish are long-living fish which should achieve over 10-15 years in good care, some to around 20-40 years old.

Common Goldfish should get between 10"-12" in body length, Fancies between 5"-10" in body length. Lengths exclude the tail fin.
