Can mine-craft be played on the Wii if you have Internet?

Now, i'm no expert, but I don't think so. You see, playing minecraft requires Java and a plugin enabled browser, neither of which the Wii has. So unless I am horribly mistaken, then it would be impossible to play Minecraft on the Wii
