I'm gonna leave you in the hands of the lord. Just like a mother told her child yesterday before she died.She said I've gotta leave you,I've got to leave you in the hands of the lord.Sometimes I get to wondering did I treat my darling mother right.Mother used to groan early in the morning. And mother used to groan very late at night.Mother used to kneel down,down around my bed.Mother used to rub my,rub my little aching head.Seems like to me I can still hear her say,"I'm gonna leave you,I've got to leave you in the hands of the lord.
