How do you control a 3 year old who hits?

First of all, where did they learn to cuss? I have said a few cuss Words, but NOT in front of my kids. The way to stop the behavior quick is to spank their bottom and make them sit in there room on their bed with no toys, tv, ect. Some may say this is harsh but I did discipline my kids this way and the are 2 of the best kids who rarely get in trouble at home at ages 11 and 12. Everywhere we go we are told how great and well behaved they are. They make almost straight A's and have respect for all adults and their peers. The problem today is not the kids, it is the parents not wanting to do their job and PARENT!!! You are the adult and you make the rules. Your child will grow up to be a much more secure person if you set boundaries now and make the child follow rules in your home. Parenting is tough. But, if you do not get this control now, what will your child do to "act out" when he/she is a teenager? Simply answering this question should make you start parenting now. Good Luck!
