Can you get scabbies from tanning beds?

Scabies is caused by a mite infestation and is primarily spread through direct skin-to-skin contact with an infected person. While it is theoretically possible to contract scabies from surfaces, including tanning beds, the mites typically do not survive long away from a human host. Therefore, the risk of getting scabies from a tanning bed is low, but maintaining hygiene and sanitation in shared facilities is always advisable.
