Are axolotls a sub-species

The axolotl is a fascinating salamander that stays in its 'baby' form for life! Its unique Biology has earned it the title of 'paedomorphic' species. You could say it's a species AND a subspecies, in a way. But the real magic lies in its ability to regenerate lost body parts, including limbs, tail, and even parts of its brain and spinal cord - making it a true marvel of nature!
