Who colonized the US and Canada?

Colonization of the United States began in 1607 in Jamestown Virginia, where a group of Christian fundamentalists came from England to freely practice their religion and to enrich themselves with the New Worldâ??s crops like tobacco. Canada was first colonized by the French who arrived in 1605 guided by Samuel de Champlain who established the first French colonies at Port Royal and Quebec City.
