What can you do to help prevent bee's from becoming extinct?

Beekeepers help the honey bee population by caring for the bees; feeding them when necessary (if you take their winter food stores -- the honey -- you must replace it), and by keeping pests such as varroa under control. If this wasn't done the pests would overwhelm the colony and it would die.
