If you get an Abra from a trade from a guy in a building in Pokemon diamond will the Abra evolve into alakazam?

first it needs to be a kadabra that is correct first you have to evolve it at lvl 16 but once you get it to lvl 16 you need to trade it to someone and have them trade it back and it evolves when you trade it
