What happends if a 8 year old has sex?

If the person who had sex with you is an adult they could be charged with statutory rape and spend a long time in jail, where they won't be popular!

And if the person who had sex with you is under 16, then they and you could still get into a lot of trouble.

If you're thinking about HAVING sex, then forget it. It is NOT APPROPRIATE FOR AN 8 YEAR OLD, (and especially if you are not using a condom).

It is probably against the law. You could be charged and have to go to Juvenile Court. You might be convicted, or put on probation. You might have to register as a sex offender. Your parents might be charged with not looking after you properly. You could be sent to live with Foster parents.

You could have a problem with having a baby. Boys can produce sperm from the beginning of their puberty, and girls can have babies at this age. Having a child is a lot of responsibility for an adult. You don't want that responsibility at your age.

At your age you should be learning about growing up, learning to do well at school, and how to be a good person for the world. You don't need to be having sex.

There may be talk and boasting among your friends that they are all having sex. This is mostly just talk. You know how people talk to big note themselves. Don't give in to this pressure, because it's not true.

Enjoy the years of preteen and early teens. You're still growing up, learning what it means to be YOU. You don't need to get involved with sex yet.
