Is Spanish weather seasenal

It's certainly colder in winter than in summer; but I've known

(winter 1984/5) deep snow in Catalonia,

while in Andalucia (October-December 1985) it was so hot (to a North European), even early in the morning, that I had to stand in the shade; and one afternoon, simply standing watching videos (albeit in a room with no air-conditioning but an open window) I was drenched in perspiration.
