How does the spotted owl habitat look like?

Spotted Owls are found in the Sierra Nevada mountain ranges. They nest in large pine groves at higher elevations. To see pictures of basic habitat, search for the Sierra National Forest. The Spotted Owls declining population was cause for a ban on commercial logging operations in central California during the 1990's. The logging was said to have been endangering their habitat.
