Charles Dickens lived from 1812 to 1870.

During the early part of that time George IV was either Prince Regent - 1811-1820 or King - 1820 - 1830. Then came King William IV -1830 - 1837. He was followed by Queen Victoria.

Most of his works were produced when Victoria was queen.
