He knows that unlike humans beings the flowers are not vain, and they are quite harmless. Some humans beings forget where they have come from when they are promoted but not the flowers".You are not proud, you know your birth", the speaker commence admiring.
Flower contemplated accept that changes will come in their lives. It will not always be spring tide and they would also injure winter.Human being in contrast want to always e in spring time and never in the winter. This means that to be young, beautiful and successful, and never deal with sickness or old age of failure.Flowers are often seen at funerals yet even they look lovely and give off a fragant perfume. The speaker realise that he has to dead rather he should make truce with them and pray that his lifebeautiful until death. The poet believes that if human lives a humble life the flowers and have a simple faith 'god'reguardless of the circumstances then deathneed not be a time of sorrow but a time of rememberance of peaceful and beautiful.Personification is an importantdevice used throughout the poem. The speaker constantly tells about the flowers as if they are human vain, proud smile and bed etc.
But using these he is better able to compare young men with the flowers and show how different they are.
The speaker uses methaphor in the poem spring and winter are metaphors for the years of our lives.
Spring represents youth, beauty, health and success while,Winter represents old age, less beautiful, sickness and no success
By using this device the poet again contrast people and flowers, since they both go through the good and bad time in life.
