What is transferred when an animal eats another animal -?

say a dog ate a grasshopper and then dog food and then got attacked by a coyote, the grasshopper and the dog food would go into the coyote's stomach and so will the dog.

so a dog got bit by a squirrel,and that squirrel had rabies.So the rabies would go into the dog and effect the dog.(the squirrel still has rabies).The dog would now have rabies.and a coyote ate the dog the coyote would now have rabies.
