Conflict can be a noun and a verb.
noun (a disagreement or problem):
- Industrial conflicts can cost a company a lot of money.
- The conflict in the Middle East is a source of much global tension.
verb (to disagree, be opposed, butt heads):
- Her ideas always conflict with the rest of the team.
- I can't come to your party because it conflicts with some dinner plans I've already made.
