Spotted Bat babies, or pups, typically leave their parents around 4 to 6 weeks after birth, which usually occurs in late spring to early summer. During this time, the mothers care for the pups, nursing them until they are capable of flying and foraging for food on their own. After this period, the young bats become independent and begin to hunt for insects.
