When tying a triangular bandage, the most important thing is the orientation. The short edge or the point of the triangle should be slipped under the elbow. The remaining longer edges of the triangle should be taken from the front and the back and then tied or pinned over the opposite shoulder of the injured arm. The loose piece near the elbow must be twisted and pinned to secure the elbow safely.
