Why do automobiles rust more easily in wet climates than drier climates?

Automobile parts are mostly made of iron. For rusting of the iron, water is required as a catalyst. In wet climate you have more of water vapour, which promotes rusting easily. In dry climate you have less of water vapour in the climate and so rusting is very slow as compared to wet climate.
