Are there fire ants I Michigan?

I live in Cleveland Ohio I was sitting on my porch late on night n didn't realize that I put both of my feet in a swarm of ants until they were crawling up my leg they were biting me so I googled ants in Ohio I found a site that said ohio has 3 types of fire ants
