Why have computers gotten faster?

The answer is very simple. More people are relying on computers to store there data. Relying on them for tasks that need more speed and storage. Also, software requires more space and speed. Windows 95 was shipped on 20 floppy disks. Also, Apple just upgraded there whole line of computers to 1GB RAM, faster, 2 GHz intels, and bigger hard disks. I think this is because OSX.5 is coming out. So, there you go. Software is improving and needing more disk space and faster computers and People's growing music and videos collections.
