Lost keys to a 1986 gmc truck how to get keys for it.?

It's possible to get keys made at your local gm dealer by using the VIN number of the vehicle. They will ask for proof of ownership, a photo id, and the VIN. Usually costs less than 10 bucks. Another alternative is replacing the entire key switch, still not expensive if you do it yourself, but much more trouble than getting the keys made.
