Is it fair on the part of humans to rear animals and chop off their hair for getting wool?

Most sheep don't object much when being shorn, provided the shearer is skilled. Actually you could ask the same question about all animals that are put to use by humans in any way. Imagine no leather, no meat to eat, no fish to eat, no eggs to eat, no milk to drink, no horses to ride, no guard dogs, no pets of any sort.
