After washing dreads do i have to re-twist them with bees wax or sumthing?

first, you should never use beezwax to twist your locs, unless they are beginner locs. simply for the fact that is has mineral oil and petroleum in it. the two lubricants act like a grease on the locs, preventing them from ever friction locking. instead, use a gel when you re twist because it's lighter and it doesn't cause alot of buildup, unlike wax. depending on your region, activity level, and age of locs, washing can be as much as every other day or as little as once a week. however, re twisting should be done at least once every 4-5 weeks. I'm not telling you to follow my regimen, but that's what has kept my almost 3 year old locs going strong.
