What was the new war weapon used by Carthage during the 2nd Punic War?

Carthage was not in ancient Rome. It was in

Tunisia and fought three wars against Rome. Carthage did not have

any special weapons. It had a fleet which, together with those of

the Greeks, was one of the most powerful in the Mediterranean and

it had highly skilled sailors.
