How do you repair an interior door handle on a 1997 Accord?

You may have to take the door panel off to find out wha is wrong with it.

ANSWER: Find the small plastic cap in the center of the handle. Use a knife blade or very small screwdriver to pop the cap loose. The cap should remain attached. Behind it, find the Philips screw and remove it. Use your thumb to push the handle assembly forward, toward the front of the car, it should now be loose. Pull it out and unplug the power window switch and power lock switch. Use a screwdriver to push back the plastic clip that holds the handle lever to the linkage. It's that easy!
