How do you set up a checker board?

To set up a checkerboard, place the board so that each player has a light square in the bottom-right corner. Each player then positions their pieces on the three rows closest to them, using only the dark squares. The first three rows of dark squares for each player should be filled with their respective pieces, with the back row typically containing the kings once promoted. Ensure that each player has 12 pieces, usually colored black and red or light and dark.
